My Letters For The Storm 15th Anniversary

For charming prince Jun Pyon,

Firstly, the baby of the group,  MatsuJun. The youngest member and most popular member of ARASHI. Most fans go searching about ARASHI because of Matsumoto Jun has been in a lot of very famous Japanese Dramas including Gokusen, Kimi wa Petto and the recent Hana Yori Dango I & II. Due to the numerous happenings of this phenomenon, fans have named this as the ‘Jun bait’. Jun is the first Japanese male to make it to the cover of the Japanese Marie Claire magazine. The only guys to grace the cover in its 24-yr history has been foreign superstars including David Beckham.

Probably the only one who "matured" technically by appearance. Jun didn’t go through an audition to get into Johnny Jrs. although the usual process is that the boys will have to go through auditions. Jun got a personal call by Johnny himself to come and watch the auditions, after that, he just got in without knowing it.

Although very popular, he has quite a bad temper and is slightly isolated. However lately, he’s been more outspoken and open about himself, probably due to him maturing over the years. He’s the most fashionable member. He paints his nails and changes his hairstyle very often. He had a hair extension before filming Hana Yori Dango II, which most fans dislike, to say the least. When I look back on these 14 years, the one whose hairstyle changed the most out of Arashi was Matsujun, don't you think? His eyebrows never changed, though.

Matsujun looks cool at first glance, but he’s also a gentle, someone who's attentive to even the smallest details. When you break apart the chopsticks from your bento, you rub them together very precisely afterwards. If girls saw Matsujun's magnificent hand movements, they'll definitely be charmed!

Everyone knows Jun from his role in the drama Hana Yori Dango, and a lot of people actually fangirl Jun at first because of Domyouji Tsukasa. Because of him, a lot of fangirls/fanboys were introduced to the Arashi world of rainbows and fluos, one of the reasons why Jun took on the role of Domyouji Tsukasa was so that Arashi could release a new single, "Wish", so thank you, Jun-pyon.

 Jun has a very cool aura, but is actually just a big dork. He's the most serious about work from the group, dances like a molusc, and is actually a big romantic. He has big rings on his fingers, a smile full-of-teeth, usually curly hair, sometimes straight, sometimes short, sometimes long, in fact, he probably changes haircuts more often than underwears,), but will always be the first one crying when it gets really emotional.

Jun's room is 1/3 clothes. Once the clothes fell off and almost crushed him. as if that wasn't enough his dresser also collapsed due to his clothes. Jun used to have a room so messy that sometimes when he slept, he would jerk awake when clothes fell onto his face. Now though, he has a sort of clothesline above his bed, and he just grabs the clothes he wants to wear, saying its a lot more convenient.

In real life, Shun (Oguri Shun) and Jun are good friends all the way from Gokusen days. Tackey are also one of his bestfriend too. On Takki’s 16th birthday, they were all working outstation. Jun bought a cake and planned to burst into his room to celebrate with him, but Takki refused to wake up. Jun was so angry that he finished up Takki’s cake with the rest. His best friend in Arashi is Aiba. By the way, little Jun used to idolise Sho. He’s quite close to Ohno, so he doesn’t use very respective words while talking to him. During Video Concert, he forced Ohno to sleep with him on the same pillow.

He’s very caring person. Just look how he cares about the members. Although he lets people see him as a stoic professional, at the same time he would be bringing medicine to the set when he knows Aiba is not feeling well. Speaking of something I'll never forget, Matsujun took Aiba place when he couldn't go to work due to his poor physical health. And that was a job that took place really early too... That one incident is something that I'm truly thankful for even now! Matsujun is a person with many different faces, he is a “multi-faceted” person. He is brilliant and calm, hard and soft – it’s a wonderful balance.

He worries quite a fair bit about Arashi and how the public will respond to them especially overseas fans He’s someone who's able to pay attention to everything around people and that hasn't changed since long ago. I'm not good at that, so I think it's cool that Matsujun is able to be so nonchalantly considerate. Even when all Arashi go out and eat yakiniku together, MatsuJun would take the initiative to be the one cooking, right? And his skillfully divide it all up on plates for Arashi too. That would definitely make him popular, because even a girl like me gets charmed by him.

He also does behind-the-scenes work for things like Arashi concert performances. I think that's also another good point about him. Just how other artists outside of Arashi stage their own performances is something I might actually like to see. I have memories when Sho talking often with Matsujun at the beginning when Arashi had just been formed, about "What should Arashi do from this point on?" For Arashi member, their started off as a group with no colours, like a blank sheet of paper, so there were a lot of things they were uneasy about. That sort of thing was what they discussed most often about. He's a Mr. A-type. A man who's able to pay attention to even the smallest things. But, he might also have a part of him that does things at his own pace.

I hope Matsujun will be even more precise than he is now. A person like him is important in Arashi group.

For naughty brats Nino,

My first question for Nino, are you still does magic and Nintendo DS in your free time? But I know the answer won’t never change either. Game, money and Ohno butt, Top 3 your most beloved things. Ops… I forget one thing, hamburger hands, cheap and easy to make. Did you still loved to press other people’s doorbells during elementary days. Just get rid that bad attitude, its bothering the others you know. Im still have a quite wonders about these things, the way of your personality that I suspectively is you’re really didn’t change very much, ne? Such a forever 17 years old boy. But really, its quite hard for me to collect some photo of you since your debut until now, I told you Nino, your pic almost pretty same. Ugh!

Ninomiya, sometimes called Nino kun, Ninomie and Kazu kun but almost time just Nino. Although his real name Kazunari never be use by the others, thought question. He’s second youngest in Stormy boybands and most importantly he is the member  who almost beloved by their Riida, Satoshi Ohno and that’s one of the reason I like him so much. He looks like an eternal 17 years old coz he’d never change so much although he is already 30 years old. You'll always find him playing with a deck of cards or a Nintendo DS. He’s small, hamburger hands, an emo kid, a mole on his chin, an hand on Ohno's ass.

Nino is the brat of Arashi. Everything he says is to make fun of another member. He is sharp, sarcastic, extremely funny and he does magic and DS in his free time. He's natural born actor and very awesome  for his several drama. He's also a very good musician (can play the guitar, piano, and showed us his talents in writing lyrics).

Nino is also a big romantic, admitted so himself, and has a total fixation for Ohno's ass. Yup, pretty romantic XD He and Ohno shared a special bond that none of the others could ever take away from them. By the way, in the group, he and fellow member Sho Sakurai are the closest of best friends since their first debut in Johnny’s ^_^. And after Arashi was debut, he’s getting closer with Ohno, even during concert MC he kept talking secretly to Ohno behind the rest, this made Kame, who was in front, complain that he was really ‘mad’ He likes to play pranks on fellow members, thus his Nino Arashi corner in D no Arashi, that was both evil and completely awesome.

Nino’s is also the other half of the known duo of Ohmiya SK. Nino and Ohno started this dynamic duo after hearing the fans about Nino’s playful affection towards Ohno. Their acts a song about their relationship. The song are written by  both of them and dances are also mainly choreographed by them. It excites the fans even when they are not doing the act as they show each other much affection without even realizing it. During the Nagoya concert when Nino and Ohno are changed and prepared to get on stage again, Nino sang to Ohno in those two nights.... is it a love song?! An d im sure lot of us don’t mind if they are kind of gay, do we? Hahaha…

Nino has always liked video games and manga… That image of him that I have still hasn’t changed. He tricks people who see him about his pathways and his turns, I feel he has obtained a mysterious aura! Over these 14 years, Nino's love of games really haven't changed, huh. Not only does it not change, you end up liking it more and more!? Lately you've gotten to the point of a pro with your magic too. Whether work or hobby, I think it's amazing of Nino to be able to devote himself to a single thing. He got this deep soul that’s pure and dark at the same time which is reflected by his cute boyish (11yr old) face but with a haunting brown eyes and the devilish smirk.

Nino is a "Man who can read the atmosphere". He thinks quickly, and he's extremely skilled at listening to people talking. I often feel it on Arashi variety programs, when older guests come on the show. He's good at listening. And Nino is also a "Skillful man". He can do anything without error. The card tricks that he's been into lately, I think that has to be the most extreme.

During the audition day Nino actually had a baseball GAME (that's why Nino did NOT want to miss this day for baseball).  After auditions he eventually went to his baseball game (which started already of course).  He did not have any passion for performing (singing, dancing, acting, etc.) before he joined Jrs.--- he was always a baseball guy.  But he had good abilities in learning everything on his own, therefore he learned all the performing when he was already in Jrs.

The only reason why his parents signed him up to Johnny's behind his back is because they were paranoid for. They feel that Nino was hanging out with the wrong crowd and were afraid that he'll be a "juvenile delinquent" when he gets older. They thought that being in Johnny's would give him a sense of discipline and stability.  They just wanted what's best for their son after all.  None of them (not even Nino himself) expected that he'll end up going all the way to stardom with Arashi once he was in Jrs.

I still remember your dream is to become a Major League Baseball player . It make me a quite sad but its still your dream and Im always  hope one day you can reach that dream, but one thing please, never get rid your soul as the passionate guys of song and music.

 If Nino was no longer a part of Arashi, wouldn't it suit him to be a writer or something? Arashi songs sounds better with his touch. He writes his own lyrics for his solo songs and so forth, he's really got a good outlook on the world. Please be the guys who have a lot passion in music as well as what you’ve done for your own song and lyric. Honestly,  with your beautiful sentence in your song, its really touch me a lot until I’ve got some teary eyes.” There are neat little tales within his lyrics. That's why, I think I'd like to read something he writes as a piece of work.

My favourite lines of Nino’s is “I don’t need anyone else if I have Arashi. I think Arashi's relationship is good the way it is. That doesn't mean I don't want it to change. I want to make myself accept new changes. But in the future, Arashi will continue to get better”. Its reflects he’s values friendship a lot! he just a perfect guy as well as “Im Kazunari. Im Good… Looking… Guy!” Yes, you are! I don’t know there is just something about him, he has this charm no one else has i guess.

You said that after seeing your acting, your positive that you’re the Kimura Takuya #2. But for me, you’re the only one Ninomiya Kazunari that exist and I know in this world. After seing the charming bothside of yourself  when you sing, creating misic, acting or in variety show. I see the gaps and your balance personality for being an idol. It gives me a big impression of you to being such natural born actor, creative composer after all and always think difficult of something on variety shows and sometime to be a little bit sensitive among the members… there’s something I like about this guy. No doubt, its all because I just meet one person like him, and no one can took his place since I know just have only one Ninomiya Kazunari. Known for his acting talent: Letters From Iwo Jima (directed by Clint Eastwood), Yasashii Jikan, Haikei Chichiuesama, Ao no Hono and Stand Up. Every director or writers that has worked with him always noted how they are at awe with his talent.

Playing game is interesting, but please, take care of your health and safety also. You’re too much concentration about your games, you won’t even stop when there’s an earthquake. Please always thinking that you have a thousand fans who was really cares about you. Just pause the game, find the safety place until the surrounding look fine and then you can reuse the game.

This  time are 15th anniversary already, and your wish to be able to jump over that 3 meter wall  If you jump on the stage, you might even be able to reach the 2nd floor!? That just means you want  your spirits to be that "big" at 10th anniversary concert. After what just you’ve done for jump over that 3 meter in 10th anniversary concert  ago, I just hope your always continued to increased your spirit wherever you went to do something that you want to reach.

For The Sunny Aiba chan,

Aiba chan, the 12-year old cutie with a very wired but clever brain. He is the least intelligent of ARASHI, but he has very curious personality and totally original imagination.  Aiba-chan is the cute idiot of the group. Air-head, he's curious about almost everything. He can play the saxophone (among other instruments) but he had pneumothorax and could not continue playing.  He's a regular on an animal TV show, where he had to fight with kangaroos, lions and tigers, and had one emotional story with cute baby pandas. But one things that im always recalled about Aiba chan, do you still get confused between that WON or QUITS??

Aiba-chan, everyone loves him and he loves probably everyone, except those damn kangaroos. He's always cheerful, happy, and without fail, he'll make people laugh. Just take a look at his ENGRISH to know. ;_; He's also emotional, close to his feelings, and he's CUTE! He has a smile that can illuminate a whole city when the power's down, and everything he'll say, it'll always sound slightly stupid. Possibly the most entertaining member.

Aiba-chan joined Johnny's Jimusho for two "interesting" reasons. First, he is a huge Ken Miyake fan. Secondly, he has a huge obsession with basketball and saw these Johnny's idols playing basketball in one of the Johnny's shows shown on TV and thought that he'd get to play basketball in public if he joined, so he signed up and sent in an application to join Johnny's, not to become an idol, but probably to use it as a ticket to playing basketball with SMAP.

His section on their weekly TV show is called A no Arashi, which includes him taking on experiments of the weirdest nature including sailing a boat made out of cardboard, eating hot curry in -50 degress Celsius weord, making a three-minute hourglass finish in less than three minutes, etc. Basically, just stupid experiments that get Aiba hyper.

To speak of Aiba Masaki-san is a "person of smiles". Scenes of him laughing more than any other member on Arashi's variety programs comes to mind. The place where you can see the tears of that always-cheerful Aiba-san crying? It was in concert. And then, when the concert curtains drop, those tears fall as well, seemingly from regret. Aiba-san's youth-like purity is yet another reason why Arashi continues to be loved over this 10 year span.

Aiba’s is hilarious. When your a junior the fans are allowed to directly hand you letters. There are also times when the juniors would actually write you back. The reason the fans nicknamed Aiba "hiragana" is because whenever he would reply to his fanletters, EVERYTHING would be in hiragana. haha... no kanji just straight up hiragana.

Also in D no Arashi, (meaningless episode) Aiba was telling the other Arashi members Aiba: So apparently there was a soccer game today. Jun and Nino: Who won? Aiba: Japan...? I think it was Japan. Nino: What was the score? Aiba: Umm... 1 to 1 Everyone: That's not a win! That was QUITS. (?_?) When he was in second year of elementary school, he likes to wear those soccer socks. So he wore with shorts and went to baseball practice. Of course, the coach went: “AIBA!!! @#$%^$@#%&*&^$#@&”

He's Arashi's mood-maker. He's cheerful, he's easily moved to tears. He's just like a sun, a person who would brighten his surroundings. But, there's a lot about him that's worrying (laugh). When Arashi was recording for a music program as well, no matter how many times we checked it over he still couldn't do the dance at all. Like 'It's already been 15 years, are you going to be okay?

To say the least, the appeal to Aiba-san is his natural mannerisms seen on variety programs. Loved by the gods of laughter, he in particular creates many miracles which surprise even the other members. From normal conversations with him to variety shows, he brings a lot of power! From now onwards too, please continue to be that bright Aiba-chan!

For Smarter Chesto,

Sho-chan is the member with the highest schooling of the group. He is an alumni of Keio University, one of Japan's most prestigious university , equivalent to the U.S.'s Ivy League schools such as Stanford, Harvard, Yale, and similar schools. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. His father is a government official and his mother is a professor at a prestigious women's college (as well as an heiress to a huge company).   His family is basically a family of scholars and professionals. He is the only one in the entire Sakurai Family to be in the entertainment business, but his philosophies and influences are similar to his family's philosophies.

His childhood is kind of pressuring because of his family background.  If you're a kid whose parents have high-ranking positions such as a politician and a university professor, everyone would expect you to become someone successful, like a CEO of a corporation or a lawyer or something. In other words, Sho's days as Jr. isn't exactly hunky-dory when it comes to his parents/family.

Sho chose the entertainment industry because he always wanted to dance.  When he joined Jrs., of course, his friends and supporters were happy, but his parents are not exactly happy and those in their "social circle" looked down on the entire Sakurai Family (not just Sho, but the ENTIRE family) for having a son who is so incredibly gifted and talented to choose something "low" such as the entertainment biz. But he proved everyone that he could still be a prestigious young man despite of him deciding to become an idol. He finally gained the respect that he deserved from his family and his family's social circle of intellects and successful individuals right after he graduated with a Bachelor's in Economics. He spent more time studying in school than his career that he even worked with Johnny and staff to work a schedule with him.

Sho is truly one of the most hardworking idols in the entertainment biz (and not just Johnny's).  This is why in Johnny's, a lot of the younger idols respect him big time, like no one wants to mess w/ him, no one wants to get him mad.

When Sho was a junior the fans nicknamed him "kasa." Kasa means umbrella. the reason for this is because he would carry around one of those long stiff umbrellas. he was often seen with that umbrella and he would use it to twirl it around and wave it around to get the fans away from him. he also used the umbrella to hit a fan that unreachable if they were taking pictures of him. Because Sho was seen with his "kasa" so many times the fans nicknamed him "kasa." (he never carried it on rainy days though...O_O)

       A lot of Arashi fans (non-Sho fans) think that Sho is straight out unfriendly (I don't blame Sho though), but see, that's because these fans don't understand what he's gone through in the past, so much that sometimes he can't help himself but snap out and lose his cool towards certain things.

Sho-kun is a person who gathers a lot of different information, just like “a textbook”. He does it all by himself, finding out information and learning them. But he is definitely someone who will always be willing to teach you anything. I have a lot of respect for him for taking seriously the various general knowledge and information required in his job as a newscaster.

Sho-chan in one word “Fail”, Yes, even with all the praising I've just done, Sho-chan is just a big bundle of fail. And it's awesome. he is scared of almost everything, and he fails, oh yes he does. Knowing how Sho fails at everything physical, of course he fails a lot. His muscles, people, are only decoration on his perfect body.  An unexpected side of his is … maybe it’s that he sometimes talks in his sleep* (laughter).

When he went to Tokio's 10 year anniversary concert. It was really great! [Kokubun] Taichi-kun has always been a good friend to him, so even though he know him is his senior he didn't really think too much about it. Coincidentially, that  year is Arashi's 5th year and Tokio's 10th year. When he saw the fans singing "Love You Only" and saw how much Tokio was loved, he thought "I need to work hard too". he want Arashi to do a concert like that when their have their 10 years anniversary. 5 years from their 5th anniversary, he hope there'll be even more people that will know who they are. After "24hr Terebi" when they were walking around the shopping mall for work, everyone--including grandmas and grandpas--came up and talked to them. It was clearly different right after "24hr Terebi". Of course, he was really happy. In the future, he hope there will be more opportunities to be with all 5 of them. That summer, they didn't spend a lot of time together because we all had individual work. They  couldn't even do concert rehearsals often with all 5 of them are together. When they all finally met up, he felt a tremendous amount of power. So he don't want to see them anymore (laughs). Of course his kidding about that;  “These guys, they're pretty good. I definitely have the most fun when all five of us are together, playing around like kids."  he’d like they to become a group that exerts a lot of power when the 5 of them are together.

Sho-chan is, no doubt, ever since the time Arasi debuted until now, he’s someone who is “full of endurance”. Especially when he first started as a newscaster, he really worked hard by reading many different newspapers and storing up all sorts of information. Even so, he still makes time to have fun with his friends and with Arashi member, he’s really the best! I just hope Sho-kun's rap will be even faster! To a point where no one can imitate him anymore.

And lastly for my lovely adorable one, Oh chan

       Oh chan, you’re so small at past. Oh chan kawaii? How cute is he?? Alright, just kidding.. who doesn’t love Oh chan? Riida a.k.a Ohno a.k.a Oh chan. A beautiful 31 years old guy with amazing artistic talents but not comfortable being in the lime light. Loves his mum & not ashamed of it ~He’s very kind person and the cute one of Arashi. He’s shy and very quiet person. Very talented artist and he fishes until the ealry morning. Although he is the oldest in Arashi but he look soo young and childish among the member. His fans usually older than him as well as his mom. Almost people say that he is cute.

He have a sleepy eyes which always seems desperate, cutie smile that can make our Heart melt, and damned cute chubby face who makes everyone to pinch it. He just someone whom could be easily to love coz his adorable looks.

      

Artistic instinct! We all know that Ohno is a good artist. Well, he started drawing in 3rd grade, thanks to "Dragonball." He doesn't mind what he eats. He likes to say "UMAI!" . Supposedly the father of Arashi but almost seem as Arashi baby look coz his cuteness personality and attitudes. Calm person who secretly loves Nino and is totally in love with Nino's hands. It's a great thing because Nino's hands are in love with Ohno's body.

Ohno is also one half of Ohmiya SK, a comedy skit duo consisting of himself and bandmatte Kazunari Ninomiya, with whom Ohno closest to in Arashi. Their pairing  which had received so much acclaim from fans that they were revived for their 2008 Asia Tour Concert.

Oh my boys, since a small innocents kids with a cutie smile that I love very much, now u become a big boys already?? I just can’t believe it, he grews on me! Big time! Really, nothing change on him. People say you’ve gotten younger since to your Jr days, so we want you be getting even more younger! But you’re fashion sense probably won't change. You might still be wearing your sweater with its sleeves worn out!?

Back to his carieer in Johnny’s, he has got great stage presence and a voice like an angel's. Being the Leader of Arashi he is just wonderful.  Because he has great voice and he can control it, he became the the main vocalist in Arashi. I just adore him he has the cutest smile that can make our heart smile too and his voice enlightens me and everytime I see him on a variety show his reaction always entertain me. Ohno sometimes seems autistic (in a funny way) during interviews and their shows, he's like funny without even trying, it's always such a treat to watch him

Pure talent combined with humility. What's more to ask? Plus he makes spacing out adorable. He's really a multi-talent person& deserves to be more in spotlight! I think it’s amazing how he can expand his world by pursuing his own way of expressing himself though his drawings and clay figures. I really think he is amazing for being able to be passionate in creating something.I have only one word for that “Yakushima cedar”.  It’s the image of “immovable” so please, just continue to be in that way”.

Seeing him take the challenge of doing stage plays, marvelous dance performances, to dramas; he never cease to amaze me that behind that carefree appearance he is able to achieve excellence in such a manner that it didn't seem to bother him at all. Artworks, singing and everything he does; he does well. This guy, is simply talented. And charming :-) from this point, sometimes I’ve some feeling this boys overally was tackle the whole of my heart. The more I think about him, the more I want to know everything what he does. Im always  thought “it was something that I like about him on inside and I just thought he might to be someone that really different from the others because it was the first time I know someone who’s have very strange personality like him. “Pretty Boy”, yeah… it was the image of him as well as I thought  and its pretty surprised to me when I found out Dohmoto Tsuyoshi (Kinki Kids) also mention it and he thinks Ohno’s is the upcoming pretty boy. He was once voted Pretty Boy No. 1 in a magazine. Proudly, my first impression about him is truly. So happy ^_^  <3<3<3

The fact that he is mama boys , >o< cho kawaii! Stills wear clothes that his Mother bought him, he says that his Mother buys them randomly and he thought it's okay to wear them. Sometimes he says that he buys his clothes from mail order. He likes to wear an accessories  and I just often see him to wear that stranger for a long time. A necklace. He’s mention that it was given by his friend and he often put it on both in private life and during work. Because wearing accessories adds him charm, they gradually increased. Because he treasure things received from others, so he use to wear them.

I don't understand why he isn't more popular in Arashi ! Such beautiful voice and the face which go with it but now, he's like the second most popular, (it obvious that jun is first) but riida is just so adorable so close such a baby bear and sometimes he can be really dumb. Ah but that doesn't matter I feel that Ohno fans are like people which discover an treasure , so bad for the others ^_^ But most importantly, now.. he become my No.1 spot in JE after my big time crush toward Jun pyon. ”.

Back to his first debut story in Johnny’s were pretty most amazing and when I recalled by that memory again, it makes me quite sad. Initially, he wasn't interested in being in the entertainment industry at all, or doing dramas. But dancing kept him interested. It was the only thing he wanted to excel in. He realized that if he wanted to go to Kyoto, he'd have to stay there at least 1/2 year. He volunteered to go. He wanted to escape the situation he was in at the time. Younger, newer juniors were coming in to Johnny's and he kept getting pushed back, as the newer ones got popular. He thought to himself, "Why? I'm better than them!" He had heard that he could be the main star if he went to Kyoto, so he didn't hesitate to go.

His mom was happy and supportive of his decision to go to Kyoto. He quit high school after just three days of starting. He walked out with Machida. His parents didn't say anything. They just asked him, "Is this it?" and he said, "Yes." He had to quit school because if he hadn't, he couldn't go to Kyoto. 

Life in Kyoto was hard. He had to perform 5 times a day on stage. At least during summer, it was okay because there were people. But in fall, there were only about 50 people in a theatre that could hold 1,000 people. He wondered why he had to be doing this. He sometimes cried (T_T) ( hug this boys for his innocent teary eyes) because he wanted to go back to Tokyo, but his colleagues helped him out because they were all on the same boat.

If there was an opportunity to dance solo, he volunteered even if it meant taking himself away from Tokyo and going to Kyoto. I think from this, we can see that Ohno is actually quite ambitious and wants to do justice to his own skills. He said he was satisfied with the way danced at the solo of "Kyo to Kyo" - he doesn't think he can dance as well now as he did back then during his solo "Cool."

About 2 years into his life in Kyoto, he thought about quitting. He wanted to start drawing again. He picked up some skills from the makeup artist and thought to himself that when he goes back to Tokyo, he will quit Johnny's Jimusho and start anew, something related to art. At this point, he had already danced to his satisfaction. Ohno told Johnny's that he wanted to quit. But for some reason, he ended up being in "MASK" (stageplay starring Domoto Koichi from Kinki Kids, from January '99 to February '99), and also "Playzone" (summer play Shonentai - way way senpai group from Johnny's - does every summer). Then from there, it was straight to becoming Arashi. He really hesitated, but since it was his last chance, he decided to just ride this wave. After the initial debut press conference in Hawaii, he participated in the Junior Concert in October ('99).

From there, as they were introducing themselves, it went like this:

"Sakurai Sho- " *WAHHHHHHH* (all the people screaming)

"Matsumoto Jun - " *WAHHHHHHH*

"Ohno Satoshi - " *... whhhhattt? Who is this person?*

Ohno wanted to get off the stage ASAP. He realized that his time spent in Kyoto had made him less exposed compared to the other members. He became quite desperate at this point. Since the other 4 members had so much more exposure thanks to their TV appearances, he knew he had to try harder.

He wrote back to his fan letters and such. He knew that Arashi was somewhat getting popular because their debut song, "A.Ra.Shi," was #1, but he didn't know if he *himself* was popular.  He started having negative thoughts at this point, because people didn't know who he was, or they were saying "How come it's not Tackey *Takizawa Hideaki from Tackey & Tsubasa* that's in Arashi?" He started wondering if it would be okay for him to be part of Arashi. But it brought comfort to be with Arashi members from the beginning. When the 5 of them were together, it really upped the atmosphere.

When the first Arashi concert came, he wondered if anyone would be holding his uchiwa (*the hand-held fan with member's face on it that fans hold at concerts). He was relieved and happy to find that there were just as many uchiwa for him as there were for other members.

Ohno prefers stageplays to dramas/movies. That is probably why we see him in so few TV dramas. :( Overall, I get the impression that acting makes Ohno really nervous. But he's so good anyway!

But even now, he has that nagging feeling somewhere that he might not have any fans (stemming from his lack of popularity in the beginning of his Arashi days). So habitually, he looks for his uchiwa whenever he goes on stage. When he finds them, it relieves him and he feels good.When they start going on concert tours, Ohno always checks the internet because he is interested in the fans' reactions, since fan letters take time to get to him.

Arashi members started opening up to each other while they were doing "Here We Go" concert tour (I think around 2002?). They stayed up all night talking to each other about their plans, what they think, how they would move on individually, etc. Ohno felt that everyone treasured the group Arashi.

Working in this industry limits him from meeting people outside, and sometimes it makes him feel lonely. He's always guarded because he doesn't want to be deceived. He thinks that's just the way it is, but it doesn't stop him from feeling lonely.

Since he started thinking that way, he became a bit more outgoing. Even if he doesn't know the people, if he thinks it'd be fun, he talks to them. Personally, he doesn't know where he would be, but he wants to have an art exhibit of his own. ( And then, big congratulation for your first exhibition Freestyle in 2008. Hug you for your excellent jobs.)

He wonders what their 10th year anniversary would be like. 2004 was HIS 10th year anniversary since joining Johnny's. "I've survived," he says. He has always tried his best. He was a bit irresponsible when he was a junior, so he is repentant of it. But overall, his 10 years were filled with many things and he considers himself a happy person.

He thinks Arashi only has room for improvement. Each member thinks of the other in a precious way, and after each concert, they become even more united. He says that whatever happens, the fact that the 5 of them will always be close won't change. “ I think the connections between us members have been getting better throughout the past 5 years, but I don't think it will be any different in the future”

By the way, for my Oh chan.. Hope u kept  stand to be ONE of the best in Johnny’s. Best Singer, Awesome Dancer And Amazing Actor. A big Triple talent that you gained after so much your hard life and struggling things that you face since in your junior day, your worrying about your lackt popularity in the group as you once claim  “Why is not to be Tackey in Arashi??”, and each time on the stage you always looking up for your uchiwa that fans hold for you n sometimes its make me quite sad…T_T

But now, thanks to Arashi member who was give your strong soul to just continued in that group even though you always claim Riida is just a nickname but for me you are more than that and definitely you are the truly Arashi Riida. You must be proudly to have a Chinen kun that claim you are his idol that his follow until now and no doubt Oh chan, you really have a fans right now, working beside you as a same company, nothing to be worried as long as you have a very cute little fanboy as well as almost cute like you as well as in your junior day.

 I just wish you a good health and hope that you’ll get your time off to do what you love such as art and fishing, but please take care your skin. I’ll be quite sensitive If Nakai san start to fight conversation with you about your tanned skin. Please, wear a sunblock and don’t forget to bring some lotion to protect your skin when you go out to fishing. Please, just stay at home when you get earthquakes or Tsunami warning. Just want to confirm your safety neither if you with your family, Arashi member or other staff san.

Lastly, I hope you can maintain your younger look then…other may say that you’re too old already but I don’t mind it anymore because no matter how many years have gone by,  you’re never changed quite. You’re still the shining star whom I look up to. Rumors come and go but your warmth and humble presence never failed to touch us as your fans and you must always know Nobody can replace you in our heart.
