Actually i don`t have a real answer for that question..
When people asked me, why do i love Arashi.. i just
can say..
"I don`t know…
just by looking at them, i know i adore them so much!"

This is my first long post about my Japanse idol group ARASHI
and I started off making this for my friends who
wanted to know about Arashi so this is my first time doing something like this
so excuse the unorganized-ness of it.

First of all, ARASHI is a group that is definitely known for their sparkly
and shiny ghei. Also, they're so close and that's what makes them so amazing.
Also, ARASHI makes a wonderful fivesome. ARASHI
, as you may have realized already, is a group of
five people. Five different people with different personalities, but that's
what makes them special.
Aiba's always saying, "If Arashi hadn't been formed, we definitely would've never
become friends."
The special part about ARASHI
is how they're so different but so close.

obstacles together until they finally reached their dream to be on top.
The leader of the group, Ohno
Satoshi-kun, has gained the title of being the best dancer and singer in
their company, but worry not, they're all amazingly good at dancing &
singing.
They even have a rapper, Sakurai
Sho-kun who also went to Vancouver for the
Winter Olympic and supported the Japanese team
among other entertainers where he also reported the whole thing back at their
home.
ARASHI is a famous group that can see the features. Unlike
those K-Pop artists, they were never widely publicized in the world. But in
Japan, these 5 men are one of their biggest and most successful artist to date.
They may not have started big, they've had their ups and downs
on their early years, but they've never let go of their dream of being on the
top. And that dream of being on the top, started with Hana
Yori Dango. Even more opportunities opened up for
them since one of their members, Jun
Matsumoto, accepted the lead role for the
drama.
Their concerts are amazing, full of joy, energy passion. By the
way, the group is really related to sports. The first song of ARASHI was for the Volleyball Championship in 1999 and they have done the music for many sports event in
Japan. Also, the members of ARASHI have promotes different sports in their shows.
ARASHI
always have "down to earth" aura and never show bad behaviour. ARASHI have strong bond each other. Just not have
good personalities and strong bond, ARASHI’s song very good too, easy listening, have good meaning,
very good song for everyone and also for everyone who love music.
Actually they are not only an idol in Japan. They present their
real face to people through their regular T.V. show. They are five and they are
ARASHI.
One of them go to Hollywood to act, one of them is a news reporter on Japanese T.V., one of them is good at drawing and his work is credit by a
famous artist that originally don't believe he has this talent to hold a
gallery if he is not an idol.
ARASHI
is a group for 15 year. They group with Japanese even an old man know who are
they. They learn a lot in those years. And this few years they become a group
that can represent Japan. They pay a lot of efforts for their homeland. They go
to the disaster area to visit victims. They are nice and lovable.

, they have been chosen by Japan as the image of
this country. Also, after the earthquake and tsunami in Sendai, people asked
for ARASHI’s music, maybe because they always have a
message about fighting for the future, never giving up...

ARASHI
is not only a group or
idol group, they are like brothers already because of how they show love and
care for each other. ARASHI
is more than
just a boyband; they're a family. They work hard with each other to gain their
goals and they've support each other since their debut in 1999. ARASHI is a one of a kind boyband for the simple
reason that their bond is so strong and keeps getting stronger even after 15
yrs.
ARASHI
is not just
like any ordinary boyband. They are the epitome of the word "idol
group" which they really are considered to be.
First and foremost, the group had been in existence since 14 years ago but up
until now they are still firmly together which must be the reason why they have
this unique friendship which had attracted most of their fans.

years of brotherhood, ARASHI shows their fans what can be called a ‘real
bound’ between people, for they have over millions
fans not just in Japan but worldwide. The members love and appreciate their
fans and be grateful for doing what they do. From singing to dancing, and to
acting, they do whatever they can to please the fans and audiences so hard just
like the athletes practice enormous amount of times to reach the peak of
sports, and of humanity, unity, and ultimate peace of this whole wide world.
Their friendship is another thing people attract to them. Even
though they are just a band mates, their love and passion for each Other is
really high. Their friendship is amazing, full of love. They can be a friendship
icon.

THEIR INSPIRATION SONGS
ARASHI is an inspiration to all their fans. Have you heard of
their songs?
Their songs always give us lessons and become our inspirations!
Most of it are really inspiring and the way they sing it you'd
really feel that they are singing it from the bottom of their hearts.
They are the good performers. Because they love to sing
energetic songs, and when they sing it, you'll feel your motivation raising!
And almost 60~~ of their song is about friendship, strength, believe,... All can give you motivation!
How else can you explain those tears, laughter and smiles
emerging from their listeners even if they don't understand a single thing at
first?
They put their love into their music, the way they push through
adversity, and keep trying to stay positive is amazing. It’s true that we may
not all know the language, but we can all feel the emotion in their words.
ARASHI’s music is also very special: it's not the classic
boyband-style you see from N-Sync or Backstreet
Boys' days, it's much more modern pop music (at
least, when comparing it to the Japanese pop, Domestic! ) and their choreography is unbelievably accurate to timing.
Also, ARASHI
songs give Japanese so much strength when
earthquake and tsunami crush Japan! There was this survey after the tsunami in
Japan in 2011 about the most requested songs by the victims in the affected
area the results showed that the topnotcher is ARASHI’s "Hatenai
Sora" or endless sky.
Indeed, they are an inspiration to their fans.

THEIR UNITY IN THE GROUP
They are really talented, and they work together as a team in
order to make great presentations. Their concerts are really amazing, they can
last many hours, but no one gets tired. Also it's possible that one of their
members Sakurai Sho, who also works like a journalist would be there doing the
coverage of the event. He was sent to Vancouver during the games to report the
information for NTV.
ARASHI is a team that has a strong team spirit and it's
well-known in Japan. They have been working very hard to reach their goal since
1999. They were small potatoes before and after a long period of struggle, they
won a lot of high representativeness awards and be loved by many people around
the world. Their perseverance, pleasure and cohesion inspire us. They always
content but never satisfied and want to keep on going.

WHAT ARASHI TEACH US
ARASHI is, for many people, like a safe harbor in the storm. They are always encouraging us to 'do our best' or 'keep reaching forward'. Many groups do this same thing, I know, so what’s different you ask? Well, with ARASHI , it feels so honest and sincere that you truly WANT to keep reaching, pushing, striving ever forward.
They aren't worried about losing face, they show us their
humanity, and they encourage us to feel our emotions, whether good or bad, and
use that energy to better not only ourselves, but the world around us.
Even among themselves, they are amazing individuals who each
excel at their own dreams, but as a team, they go beyond expectation. Teamwork,
support, encouragement; these are things that they teach as well.
The members of the group are down-to-earth and they don't care
whether they get laughed at in their shows. Although there is a sadist within
the group, he could actually show his soft side when he is around his
groupmates.

And You Know What's Best About Them?
They don't try to act and look cool in front of the camera, they
show who they really are, no matter how stupid they'd look in the National
television, all they cared for is for them to give happiness to their
audiences, as well as them enjoying themselves at the same time. And despite
having very different personalities, when combined together, it makes up a much
amazing group you can never imagine. Without even having the efforts of going
out and selling themselves to the world, they've managed to capture the hearts
of foreign fans.
And I was one of those. I've only been a fan for a year, and I
didn't like them all at first. But when I started to get to know more on who
this group really is, that's when I fell in love with each and everyone of
them. It's like the saying "Never judge a book by its
cover." Beyond the usual things that you are
see lies an even more beautiful world.
They don't claim to be the best singers of dancers. They are
humble, kind, and generous. You will certainly not regret getting them to
perform. They will hype up the audience buy being their dorky but lovable
selves. What makes them unique is that they don't strive for perfection. They
fail but that just makes them more awesome knowing that you don't have to be
great at everything to be #1. They are one of Japan top boybands because ARASHI
is living proof you can make it by being yourself. ARASHI has kept it true and
real without getting big headed. This is a group you have to see live to
understand why they are loved not just in Japan!
All 5 members always be their own self and don't acting or
pretend to be the best. They know who they are and don't overdo anything! They
are very simple and not "I.
AM. THE. TOP". That's why people love them.
ARASHI
has been there for me in times where no words could
save me from feeling like the worst and only their music and their messages
behind their songs brought me back up on my feet. Their language may be
foreign, but you will not regret having them perform. They certainly bring the energy
out in anyone.

give people hope and dream. They understand what is
an idol and their aim is to make people blissful. Especially after the disaster
in the past year they think a lot. What should idols do in this moment? And
what they do is to keep this experience in their mind and encourage people to
lead Japan grow better and live positively.

ARASHI
is a group that has amazingly wide fanbase across
the whole world. In Japan, they're almost a National idols - they're supported
by all generations: from a 2-year old who tries to mimic their dance and sings
with them when he sees them on T.V., to the old grandpa who rides on a metro
with a bag which is one of the ARASHI concert goods. They're quality is not only about catchy
songs, entertaining concerts or popular dramas on the T.V. (though it's also
true) - it's about the chemistry between them and their friendship, about
positive outlook on life, about the guts to never give up and enjoying what life
has offered you.

OHNO SATOSHI:

Ohno is the oldest and the leader of Arashi. In fact, he was
chosen as the leader in a game of chance and not some awesome test of courage
or strength. It was janken that made him Arashi's leader when he won against
fellow member Sakurai Sho on Shounentai's program.
He joined Johnny's Jimusho in '94. As a junior he didn't have much exposure on television like the other members, but he was a dancer for the stageplay KYO TO KYO '97.
The very small one in group and he’s act as main vocalist and
the leader of Arashi. He's also known for his greatest voice in singing and
flexible body when dancing, and even had his own solo concert called ‘3104’
which means Sa-To-Shi in Japanese.
One of his hobbies is fishing, something he talks about all the
time. Another one of his hobbies is art. He always refers as the most talented
member especially in art, drawing, singing & dancing, even one of many JE
talents who had his own art exhibition called FRESSTYLE at Omotesandou Hill on
2008 and even released a photobook of his art.
Shy, don’t talk much and very quiet among the member. And he’s
cute when we look at him. Also, he's a huge mommy's boy. He occassionally plays
wii with his family + a guy his dad works with.
He's close to fellow member Ninomiya Kazunari, whom he calls
"Kazu-chan." They're well known for their displays of gay and butt
touching. At first Ohno was totally against it, but has now accepted the sexual
harassment.
Sometimes, when nobody's looking, he goes just a little bit wild and he's got the abilities of a top model.

| SAKURAI SHO |
Sakurai Sho is the second oldest of Arashi and also known as its
mommy. Despite not being the leader, everyone knows he's the one with the
leader-ish qualities. His position is the rapper and he write his own rap
himself. They're called "Sakuraps."
He joined the jimusho in '95. As a junior he was often paired with
Imai Tsubasa & Hideaki Takiezawa, a duo from Tackey & Tsubasa. He has
big eyes and big rabbit teeth. Also, he was so tiny that when he was a junior,
they called him まめ (bean).
The spokesperson in the group and can speak English very well. Also,
he is a graduation from Keio University with a degree in Economics. He started the "Johnny's daigaku
(university) boom" as TOKIO member Kokubun Taichi calls it. Now, other
Johnny's members are attending university.
He became a newscaster for NEWS ZERO and prepares his own segment
every week. He was also chosen as the main reporter for the Volleyball World
Cup of '07. In '08, he was chosen as the main caster for the Beijing Olympics.
He's a big coward and he can't do a backflip without screaming,
"SCARY OMG SCARY OMG". Also, on Arashi's game show, VS Arashi,
whenever he wants to play a game, the audience would go, "EHHHH~~?"
in shock. It's like they enjoy his suffering.
His catchphrase is "CHESTO!" which is like his personal battle
cry.
Known as the richest member in the group. Son of Governor and his
mom is University Professor Of English Literature.

| AIBA MASAKI |
Aiba Masaki is the member with the highest tension. Nicknamed
Aibaka and Aiba-chan, he's the third oldest of the group. His parents own a
Chinese restaurant in his hometown of Chiba so he knows some Chinese food, and
he will never let you forget it.
He also has a younger brother named Yusuke, whom he used to fight
with all the time.
He joined Johnny's after he watched SMAP's program 愛ラブSMAP (I Love SMAP) and said, "I want to play basketball with
them!" He asked some girls in his class and they said to him that he could
try joining the jimusho. At the audition he brought his basketball and was
utterly shocked when they asked him to dance. He did pass the audition, though.
He's also the man behind "A no Arashi", the stupid one in
the group but genius and always brings the miracles happen at the end of his
‘weirdo’ experiment, a segment in which he makes the other members of Arashi
help him with his strange experiments.
He has a slender body like that of a model. He is often laughing
and has a very distinct nasal voice.
In March 2002, Aiba was hospitalized with pneumothorax and went
through surgery. In Arashi's video ALL OR NOTHING (Where Arashi got to try
different things), he was supposed to play saxophone, which he practiced so
much for, but due to his illness couldn't.
Aiba is known as a "variety idol" because he stars in the program, "Tensai! Shimura Doubutsuen" with comedian Shimura Ken. On the program he plays with animals, rides rhinos, and gets his ass kicked by kangaroos. He also gets to travel the world to see different animals.

| NINOMIYA KAZUNARI |
Mostly called "Nino", Ninomiya Kazunari could be
called the "actor" of Arashi. He's been acting in dramas ever since
he was a junior. He's also the little brat of Arashi, known for his witty
remarks, teasing, and pranks.
He has skin as white as snow and beautiful charming eyes that
can kill every fangirl. Had sharp tongue and known as the little evil in the
group who love to make a mess with the guess in variety.
Nino joined Johnny's when he was thirteen years old. His very
first drama was "Amagi Goe / 天城越え", which aired two years after he joined. He also starred
in the Hollywood film, Letters from Iwo Jima, with Watanabe Ken, directed by
Clint Eastwood. On 2011 he became the lead actor as Kurono Kei in GANTZ movie
adaptation from popular manga Gantz.
He also had to shave his head for the drama for the tanpatsu drama "Sukoshi wa, Ongaeshi ga Dekitakana", the story of a boy who was diagnosed with cancer. He shaved his head bald for the drama which led to him being teased by fellow member Aiba Masaki. He was also the victim of a bad wig, which sometimes fell off.
He is composer/song writer for most of Arashi song and as well
as his fellow mate Sakurai, he composes and writes the lyrics to his personal
solos and also composed "Fight Song", the theme song for Arashi's old
program G no Arashi. He also made a song for fellow member Matsumoto Jun,
titled, "Matsumoto-kun no
Uta / Matsumoto's Song" for
his birthday. So sweet. ♥
He's also a huge game nerd, his favorite being Dragon Quest. In fact, he knows most of the Dragon Quest titles.

He also missed the exact moment he turned 20 because he fell
asleep playing video games. A more recent hobby is magic tricks, which he's
displayed on television.
Nino is also known for his stinginess. If you ask him what is favorite food is, he'll reply, "Cheap food." Whenever he goes out, he "forgets" his wallet. He likes to go out with senpais because they'll always pay, but he said that he'll meet with his kouhai.

Matsumoto Jun is the youngest of the group, but definitely not
the baby of the group (that would be Ohno).
Despite being the youngest, you probably couldn't tell that he's
the youngest if you didn't know their ages. Jun could also be called the most
"fabulous" due to the fact that he wears lots of rings, collects
sunglasses, and changes his hairstyle almost all the time. He has thick
eyebrows and very sharp features.
Matsujun joined Johnny's in '96. He sent out an application
after he noticed how his sister was a huge fan of the Kinki Kids. During
vacation, he received a call from Johnny himself telling him to attend a
rehearsal. Yeah. He got in without an audition, making him one of the
"elites" in the company.
He is famous for his role as Doumyoji in the drama Hana yori
dango. He's well known for starring in dramas such as "Hana Yori
Dango" and "Kimi wa Petto". He's also called Matsujun, a
portmanteau of his surname and first name.
When Arashi was interviewed during their debut conference in Hawaii, a sixteen year old Matsumoto he said that he wanted to try being the "Owarai Riidaa / Comedy Leader" of Arashi. Looking at him now, you could probably say that he's given that up. Also, he's called the Do-S of Arashi, which means "Extreme Sadist." Why? Sometimes he loses his temper and gives off rude remarks. Even though he's an "extreme sadist", he still loves Arashi. ♥

Because Sho-kun and Leader…are the oldest ones inside ARASHI. Kanji ARASHI嵐’、becomes 'Yama' (Mountain) and 'Kaze’ (Wind) when separated into two parts. And since the Yama is on top part of the kanji, they are addressed as 'Yama' by the fans.
First of all, they really understand each other, these two.
Their fellowship is simple yet long. I think that’s why they know each other so
well.
Sakurai really really likes Ohno. The special point to note about these two is Sakurai, who stares at Ohno with his shimmering eyes, like a young maiden in love. But in
return, Ohno remains totally oblivious. So this is basically one-sided love
from Sakurai. When Ohno does something interesting, Sakurai will be staring intently at him or he will be laughing more
than anyone else at his antics.

Generally
speaking, there are a lot of times when they play with each other. Sometime,
they look such as super close friends pair. After all, they’re the ones who are
together most often. Somehow or other, they get along very well. They even hold
hands frequently…How long are they gonna keep doing that?

Well, that’s because these two are always gentle/calm. Don’t they seem like
being surrounded by a soothing atmosphere? Then, I think these two are very
similar. Their compatibility is good too and they never even had a fight
before. The things they say usually becomes a topic of conversation for the
group.
They are pairs
that share’s the same feelings. In actual fact, these two share their thoughts
and go drinking in Ginza and there was a time even when they started crying
after talking together in the hotel room late into the night. Ninomiya, who
has never gone drinking with Ohno, will get jealous when these two start bantering amongst
themselves. You need to look out for the conflicting expressions on Ninomiya's face
when this happens.

They often have to sign together at concerts, so everyone have
this image of them sticking close and singing together. In junior day, they are
pair that diminished the distance between them. When ARASHI was formed, Matsumoto used to talk to Leader in honorific language.
Then, these two are separated by the biggest number of years so
it can be said they seems like typical brothers pair. The youngest is very
level-headed, the oldest is very calm, just like some typical siblings. Ohno is the oldest and Matsumoto, the youngest. Regardless of whether he gets bullied physically
by Jun or told off by jun, Ohno will think 'Jun is cute ^ ^ ' and let him do whatever he wants. Matsumoto is famous for his 'Do S' character, which stems mainly from
the roles he plays in his dramas, but when it comes to Ohno, he baby’s up to him.

This is how the relationships are built within the group, with Ohno being the center, as he is the leader and the oldest. It’s really envious to see who he is loved by the other 4 people!! They really like Ohno-kun, or rather they want to be like him.

Conbi Name: AiMiya / NinoAi
Relationship: The close friend/classmate pair.
Because they were together since a long time ago, since their
Junior days. They must have a very old bond too. They are like two elementary
school kids when they are together. How should I say this, they seem totally
harmonized with each other. Nino always messes around with Aiba-chan. He’s done
that since a long time ago, and keeps doing it. They get along well. Like a
friendship between two classmates.

It’s true that these two are the youngest, but among the 5 of Arashi, they’re the most level-headed persons. Rather than being naughty/mischievous, they give off a very reliable feeling.
Also, they are pair that has the same tastes. For example, they
seem to be reading the same manga very frequently. These two are fresh. Even in
the green room for example, you won’t see them doing skinship too often .

Well, there are a lot of times when they get excited talking about computers. Then, these two take their computers with them even we go touring. They both do that. And they constantly get excited by different things. By…words for example, they get excited in that kind of situation. And at the concerts, these two suddenly start to mess around frequently.
